Invisible Cities: Thumbnails #11-20

I made a couple more thumbnail sketches today, only this time I drew them digitally. I didn't do shading and I avoided colour this time just so I didn't spend too much time adding detail yet.

I'm not a big fan of #11 and #14 but I quite like how #16, #17, and #18 turned out. Some cities are definitely easier for me to imagine compared to others.

  1. Great sketches! I really like 17, and 13 is roughly how I see Armilla too ! :)

    1. Thanks for the feedback ^_^ in my head I also pictured Armilla with a sort of colourful mist but I didn't want to go into much detail

  2. I like 17 as well, I feel that it would need to be expanded though, so it feels more like a city. Keep them coming though and maybe you could start to make pages exploring one city as a whole as well, pulling out text that is defining your thumbnails. (You don't have to do this, but it might be useful for you to imagine a lot of the city and have them all together.)

    1. Thanks ^_^ yeah I'll aim on starting to do pages of thumbnails dedicated to specific cities...I agree that it would be useful to picture more of the city.

    1. Yeah I ended up liking that one more than I thought I would, I'll probably aim to expand more on it =]

  4. Esmerelda and Armilla are absolutely cracking thumbnails! It would be good to see the establishing shot versions of these places (helicopter view) I wonder what they might look like as cities from the air!

    1. It's funny because I didn't find Esmerelda that striking as a description other than it reminded me of Venice but it's one of my favourite thumbnails so far, I'm definitely planning on doing some different views of it.
