@Jordan - 'Art Of' Progress

  1. Hi Deanna,

    What a great start. Already so much work on display and presented in a readable and effective format. It's already a very compelling document. So well done!

    I think I only have two small pointers at this moment:

    Firstly, I really like the grey, subtle background. But, for the pages that are almost full images (i.e. concept art pages / character pages etc) I think these could simply sit on a completely black background. So that we no longer see a black border against a grey background. Think of these pages as 'Gallery pages.' Anything you want to present on it's own as a full page, can simply be on a black background.

    The second suggestion would be font. The body font works nicely. Clear and easy to read. But I think the title font could be more expressive. Still something simple, but perhaps a little more tuned to your animation. You may want to explore this as you create the title sequence for your animation, but something like this could work - https://www.theleagueofmoveabletype.com/blackout

    Modern, but expressive of hazy waters and dark lighting. Font choices are worth mulling over, so no immediate action to be taken. But I certainly think this component could be more expressive of your world.

    Other than that, it's great to see such good management and control of the project. A very engaging and strong document so far.
